“We recently had a break in attempt at our business and the front storefront glass was damaged. The team responded quickly, cleaned up the broken glass, and temporarily boarded up the opening to keep the business secure. Once the custom glass was ready, Max came back and completed the storefront glass replacement professionally, including sealing the new glass and finishing everything neatly. Communication was clear, the price was fair, and the final result looks clean and secure. I would definitely recommend them for emergency storefront glass replacement in Etobicoke.”

“Great company … excellent work repairing my door . The problem with the door was an interior bolt so a picture wouldn’t show anything .. but it was not an easy fix … all was done in a timely and skilled fashion! My building is located in Scarborough. The door was a commercial fire exit door. Repair wait time 1–2 hr”

While you wait: practical next steps
1.Keep customers and staff away from damaged glass and unstable frames. Call our 24/7 line for immediate emergency dispatch.
2.Warn people away from glass on the sidewalk from a safe position. Do not handle hazardous shards yourself; arrange professional cleanup and notify property management.
3.Take photos only from a safe position, without delaying urgent securing. If a break-in is suspected, follow police instructions and ask your insurer what records it needs.
4.Get the police report number if it was a break-in, and note the time you found it. Business interruption cover turns on dates and times that you can evidence.
5.Call the 24/7 line with the frontage width, a count of the broken panels, and whether the entrance itself took damage, so we load sheet stock that fits your opening.

What we do when we get there
01
Attendance at any hour
Call 24/7, including weekends and holidays, for immediate emergency dispatch. We assess the damage and prioritise securing exposed openings. Whether you can reopen depends on the condition of the entrance and the work needed.
02
Glass out of the aluminium
Storefront panels sit in an aluminium channel, and the pieces left in that pocket are what cut hands during the reglaze. We strip the channel back to clean metal, clear the retail floor and the sidewalk, and take the debris away rather than filling your bins with it before opening.
03
Boarding around trading hours
Where you need to open, we board the broken panel only, or board from inside so the frontage reads as closed for repair rather than abandoned. Entrance doors get secured in a way that still opens and locks. Signage and vinyl positions are noted before anything is removed.
04
Checking the framing
A forced entry usually bends the channel or shears a mullion fixing, and a distorted frame will not hold a new panel square. We check the frame is straight before ordering glass, and quote any framing repair as a separate item so you are not paying for a panel that goes back into a twisted pocket.
05
Glazing when you are closed
We plan replacement glazing around your opening hours where possible and confirm timing after measuring and checking supply. For entrance doors, we also check alignment, closing and locking after the glass is fitted.
About your insurance claim
We record attendance, take photos where safe and separate emergency securing from permanent glazing on the invoice. Ask your insurer about glass damage, related repairs and any business interruption coverage. Your policy and insurer's assessment determine reimbursement.
Before and after · Original job photographs
Emergency securing and glass replacement
Two real jobs: temporary board-up from our Vancouver archive, and a commercial glass door replacement. Each slider shows the same opening before and after that work.
Often, if the remaining entrance and access route are safe. We assess the damage and discuss boarding the affected panel while keeping a usable entrance. Structural damage or an unsafe exit may require the premises to remain closed until further work is completed.
A car hit the front of the building. Is that different from a break-in?
The securing work is the same, but the assessment is not. Vehicle impact frequently damages the framing, the header and sometimes the structure above, not just the glass. We check the frame and the head condition before quoting glass, and where the damage goes past the shopfront system we tell you it needs a structural opinion first.
Who is liable for glass on the sidewalk?
Responsibility depends on the circumstances, property arrangements and applicable requirements. Notify property management and seek advice from your insurer or a qualified legal adviser if needed. For immediate safety, warn people away from the affected area without approaching loose glass and call for professional cleanup.
Our unit is inside a mall. Does that change anything?
It changes access more than the work. Interior units need after-hours entry arranged with mall security or management, loading dock access and sometimes a hot work or contractor sign-in. Tell us the centre and the unit on the call and we will work through their process rather than turning up and being refused entry.
Should we upgrade the glass while it is out?
It is worth pricing, especially on a frontage that has now been hit. Laminated glass carries an interlayer that keeps the pane in one piece under impact, so the panel stays in the opening and a fast smash-and-grab becomes a long, loud job. It costs more than tempered and it is not bulletproof, but it changes the arithmetic for whoever tries next.
Can you deal with our landlord or property manager directly?
Yes. Storefront glass sits in a grey area between tenant and landlord responsibility depending on the lease, and we are used to sending the same photographs, measurements and itemised quote to both sides. We will secure the opening first and sort out the addressee on the invoice afterwards, so nothing waits on an email.
