Yes. Ontario requires safety glazing in doors, so patio door panels are tempered, which is why a broken one comes apart into small blunt pieces rather than shards. We replace like with like: tempered, in the same thickness, and with the same low-E coating and gas fill so the new unit performs like the one beside it.

The perimeter seal on the insulated glass unit has failed, letting humid air into the cavity where it condenses on the cold inner surface. No cleaning or drilling fixes it, and the unit has lost most of its insulating value. The frame, rollers and hardware are usually fine, so only the glass unit is replaced.
