“We recently had a break in attempt at our business and the front storefront glass was damaged. The team responded quickly, cleaned up the broken glass, and temporarily boarded up the opening to keep the business secure. Once the custom glass was ready, Max came back and completed the storefront glass replacement professionally, including sealing the new glass and finishing everything neatly. Communication was clear, the price was fair, and the final result looks clean and secure. I would definitely recommend them for emergency storefront glass replacement in Etobicoke.”

“Quick and Great job.We had a break-in and door glass was smashed.Contacted buildnfix. Ben came same day and hooked us up with temporary door while he ordered custom glass for the door. Within he proactively contacted and fixed the glass door. Amazing job and follow through. Had no guess work and no hidden costs. Great job guys keep up the same work”

“Alex is great!!! He is professional, punctual and pays attention to detail!!! He didn’t leave until he thought it was perfect which I loved!!!!! We had our door replaced and he transfered the brass handles over. He is amazing!!!”

“Great company … excellent work repairing my door . The problem with the door was an interior bolt so a picture wouldn’t show anything .. but it was not an easy fix … all was done in a timely and skilled fashion! My building is located in Scarborough. The door was a commercial fire exit door. Repair wait time 1–2 hr”

What affects the price?
Emergency attendance and board-up are quoted separately from the glazing, which is how insurers prefer to see it. Panel size, tempered or laminated glass, tint, frame repairs and out-of-hours attendance are what drive the total.
On-site estimate visits are free for most jobs. We confirm whether your visit is free or chargeable before booking.
The work
What’s included
01Emergency board-up
We assess loose glass, clear the work area and secure the exposed opening with suitable temporary boarding. We explain access and exit restrictions before the premises are used again. Permanent glazing is arranged after the frame and glass specification have been checked.
02Frame and channel check
Storefront glass sits in an aluminium framing system, and a forced entry often bends the channel or shears the mullion fixings. We check the frame is straight and the pocket is clean before ordering glass, because a distorted channel will not hold a new panel square and puts stress right back into it.
03Frame and storefront replacement
When the aluminium frame, entrance door or several connected sections are damaged past a reliable repair, we measure and quote the replacement scope rather than forcing new glass into a compromised system. The proposal separates reusable sections from the door, framing and glazing that must be replaced, so you can see exactly what the permanent repair includes.
04Specifying the glass
We check the panel's location, size, framing and applicable safety requirements before specifying tempered, laminated or other suitable glass. We explain matching options for neighbouring panels and any differences in thickness, tint or coating before ordering.
05Glazing and reinstatement
The new panel is set on blocks, held with the correct gaskets or wet-glazed and pointed, and the stops are refitted. Door glass is reset into the rail and the closer and pivots are re-adjusted, since a new panel changes the weight balance. Vinyl lettering positions are noted before removal so signage can go back.
06Insurance documentation
We photograph the damage before clearing it, itemise the emergency attendance, board-up and glazing as separate lines, and record glass sizes and specifications. That is what an adjuster asks for. We answer their questions directly at no charge, so you are not relaying technical details between two parties.

How fast can you board up a broken storefront?
Call our 24/7 line for immediate emergency dispatch. An exposed storefront is a priority. We assess the damage and temporary securing on arrival, then explain the next steps. Arrival time, safe reopening and the permanent replacement schedule depend on the site and required materials.
Can we stay open while waiting for the new glass?
Sometimes. We try to keep unaffected entrances usable, but safe customer access, emergency exits and the extent of damage must be assessed first. We explain the temporary securing options and restrictions before you decide whether to reopen.
Is storefront glass tempered or laminated?
The specification depends on the panel's location, size, framing and applicable safety requirements. Tempered and laminated glass have different properties; laminated glass includes an interlayer that helps retain broken fragments. We inspect the opening and explain suitable options before ordering.
Will our commercial insurance cover this?
Coverage depends on your policy, the cause of damage, any deductible and your insurer's assessment. We provide photos and an itemised invoice separating emergency securing from permanent repairs, and help answer repair-related questions at no added charge. Ask your insurer which costs are covered; we cannot guarantee reimbursement.
Do you replace the whole frame or just the glass?
Just the glass, unless the aluminium framing has been bent or the mullion fixings have sheared during the entry. We check the channel is straight before ordering, since a distorted frame will not hold a panel square. Where the frame is damaged, we quote the repair or the section replacement as a separate item.
Can you work after hours so we do not lose trade?
Yes. Glazing can be scheduled for evenings, early mornings or weekends so the frontage is not under scaffolding while customers are coming through. Out-of-hours attendance is priced differently from a scheduled daytime visit, and we tell you that difference when we quote rather than after the work.
