“Great company … excellent work repairing my door . The problem with the door was an interior bolt so a picture wouldn’t show anything .. but it was not an easy fix … all was done in a timely and skilled fashion! My building is located in Scarborough. The door was a commercial fire exit door. Repair wait time 1–2 hr”

Check the support and the frame
We inspect where the door is supported, how it sits in the frame and whether the fixing points are sound. A worn pivot, a loose hinge and a damaged frame need different repairs. The assessment also considers the closer and latch, which can hide or worsen an alignment problem.
Match replacement hinges or pivots
The correct hardware depends on the door design and the existing preparation. We identify the fitted hinges or pivots, assess their condition and confirm suitable replacements. Parts availability and access are checked before agreeing to the work, particularly where the door must be supported or removed.
Restore support and alignment
Worn components are replaced or serviceable fixings repaired as appropriate to the opening. We set the door in the frame and check clearance through its travel. If damaged framing will not hold the hardware reliably, we explain the frame repair or replacement needed instead of relying on repeated adjustments.
Check closing, latching and daily use
Once the door moves freely, we check the closer action and latch alignment. We also assess contact with the threshold and seals. Work on fire-rated or exit doors must preserve the intended function of the assembly; repair work is not presented as a fire-door certification.

Can a sagging aluminum storefront door be repaired?
Often, if the door and frame remain sound. Worn pivots or damaged fixing points can let the leaf drop and scrape. We inspect the support and alignment before deciding whether hardware repair is sufficient or the opening needs more extensive work.
Is dragging caused by the hinge or the door closer?
It may involve either component or the frame. A closer adjustment will not fix a door that is hanging too low. We check that the leaf is properly supported and moves freely before making final closer and latch adjustments.
Can you work before we open or after we close?
Yes, planned commercial work can be arranged around trading hours. Tell us which entrance is affected and how the building is used so we can agree on access and disruption. Any applicable after-hours charge is explained before booking.
What if the entrance will not lock or the door feels loose?
Call the 24/7 line for immediate emergency dispatch. Keep people away from an unstable door and do not attempt to lift or remove it yourself. Let us know if it is an exit route so we can plan the response with the responsible person on site.
Does replacing the pivots mean replacing the glass as well?
Not automatically. Hardware and glazing are assessed separately. If the glass and framing can be retained safely, the proposed repair can focus on the supporting hardware. Existing glass damage or an unsafe panel changes the scope and is explained before paid work begins.
