What affects the price?
The roller design, track condition, access to the panel and any matching parts needed affect the quote. An older door is not automatically a replacement job; we explain whether a hardware repair is practical after inspecting it.

What’s included
Find what is resisting movement
We check the running surface, roller adjustment, panel position and frame before choosing parts. Worn wheels, a damaged track and a panel sitting too low can feel similar from the handle. Replacing the rollers alone will not solve a track or frame problem.
Match the roller assembly
Patio doors use different wheel and housing designs. We identify the assembly fitted to your panel, check whether a suitable replacement is available and explain any ordering time. A photo of the door and any visible manufacturer label helps us prepare, but the concealed hardware may still need an on-site inspection.
Replace worn rollers and assess the track
The technician supports and handles the glazed panel as required to reach the roller assemblies. Worn hardware is replaced and the running surface is checked for damage. If the track also needs repair, or the frame is not sound enough for a reliable adjustment, that is included in the proposed scope before paid work begins.
Set the panel height and check the lock
After the panel is refitted, we adjust its position and check movement along the track. We also check how the door meets the jamb, latch and weather seals. The handover includes opening, closing and locking the door, not just showing that it rolls.

Can you replace patio door rollers without replacing the whole door?
Often, yes. If the panel and frame are sound and compatible hardware is available, roller replacement and alignment can restore the existing door. Damaged framing, glass or a badly worn track may require additional work. We assess those separately rather than assuming you need a full replacement.
Is a hard-to-slide patio door always a roller problem?
No. Track damage, debris, misalignment or a frame problem can also restrict movement. If cleaning an accessible track has not helped, stop forcing the handle and arrange an inspection. Do not lift out a heavy glazed panel yourself.
Can you fix an older vinyl or aluminum sliding door?
We assess both types. The important questions are whether the panel and frame remain sound, which roller assembly is fitted and whether compatible parts can be sourced. Send a photo of the whole opening and any visible label without dismantling the door.
What if the patio door will not close or lock tonight?
Call our 24/7 line. We can dispatch immediately for an unsecured opening. Tell us if the panel is off its track or the glass is damaged so we can plan to make it safe. Permanent roller replacement may depend on identifying and obtaining the right parts.
Is the estimate free, and can you come the same day?
We usually arrange a free on-site estimate, and can usually schedule a same-day visit for less urgent repairs. We explain any applicable visit charge before booking. The technician checks the opening and gives you a job-specific quote before paid work begins.
