What affects the price?
Quotes come after measuring, not over the phone. Size, operating style, glazing package, whether it is a retrofit or a full-frame install, exterior capping, and access on upper floors are what move the number.

What’s included
Assessment and honest recommendation
We check the frame for rot and movement, look at how the sash sits, and test the hardware before recommending anything. If a balance, an operator or a sealed unit would carry the window for years more, we tell you that. Replacement is put forward when the frame itself has failed, because no new sash fixes a rotted opening.
Measuring and ordering
We measure the opening at three points across the width and height, because a settled house is rarely square, and record the sill slope and the depth of the jamb pocket. Windows are ordered to those measurements with the operating style, screen, grille and colour confirmed in writing before anything goes into production.
Retrofit or full-frame install
A retrofit sets the new unit inside the sound existing frame, which is faster and leaves your brick, siding and interior trim untouched. A full-frame install strips back to the rough opening and is the right call when the frame is rotted or the sill is wet. We tell you which one the opening needs and why.
Glass and efficiency choices
We go through the options that actually change how the window performs: double or triple glazing, low-E coating to hold heat in during winter, argon fill, and a warm-edge spacer that reduces condensation at the glass edge. Tempered glass is used where the code calls for it, near doors, in bathrooms and low to the floor.
Installation, sealing and finishing
The unit is set level, plumb and square on shims, fastened through the frame into structure, then insulated around the perimeter with low-expansion foam that will not bow the jamb. Exterior joints are capped and caulked to shed water, interior trim is refitted or replaced, and the old window leaves with us.

How do I know if I should repair or replace?
Look at the frame. If the frame is sound and only the hardware or the sealed unit has failed, repair is the better value and we will say so. If the frame is rotted, cracked, distorted or letting water into the wall, replacement is the fix, because a new sash or unit inside a failing frame will not last.
How long does the whole process take?
Measuring takes one visit. Manufacturing the units is the longest part of the timeline, and the lead time depends on size, colour and glazing. Installation itself usually runs one to two windows per hour for retrofits, so most houses are finished in a day. We confirm the install date once the units arrive and are checked.
Will my walls be torn up?
Not with a retrofit install, which works within the existing frame and leaves brick, siding and interior casing in place. A full-frame install does disturb the interior trim and the exterior capping around the opening, and we rebuild both. We tell you which method your opening needs before you approve the quote.
Can you replace windows in winter?
Yes. Windows are done one opening at a time so the house is never open to the weather for long, and the room is closed back up before we move to the next. We use sealants rated for cold-weather application. In severe wind or freezing rain we will reschedule rather than install a window that cannot be sealed properly.
Do you do commercial window replacement?
Yes. We replace windows in offices, retail units, restaurants and apartment buildings, and work with property managers to schedule around tenants and business hours. Openings can be secured overnight if the replacement spans more than one day, so the space stays weathertight and closed up.
What is covered by the warranty?
You get a written warranty on the parts we supply and on our labour, handed over with an itemised invoice. That covers the installation, the sealing and the hardware we fit. Manufacturer coverage on the window unit itself comes from the maker, and we register it and pass the paperwork to you.
